Averechts has been asked to help to raise money for a well in the construction of a vegetable garden for a school for the deaf in Mauritania. Through this project, the mothers of the school itself grow food so they are less dependent on the high prices of imported food. The school-age children can concentrate better on the lessons with a full stomach.Water supply is a crucial in this drought.
